Viking™deletion fluid is suitable for deleting images on Viking™negative plates. Viking™deletion fluid is a slightly thickened liquid that is easily controlled even on vertical surfaces. It can be used in the plateroomor pressroom to make plate corrections.

Before handling or using any chemical product, be sure to read the product label and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for health hazards, precautionary information and suggested first aid.

To use Viking™deletion fluid on Viking™negative plates, follow this procedure:

1. Apply the deletion fluid to unwanted image areas using a cotton swab, wooden applicator stick, or artist's brush.

Note: Be careful not to allow the deletion fluid into a desired image area.

2. Agitate the deletion fluid using slight pressure.

3. Allow the deletion fluid to remain over the unwanted area on the plate surface for 30 to 60 seconds.

Note: The deletion fluid can remain safely on the plate for several minutes in the unwanted image areas.

4. Remove the coating from the treated area using a clean, dry cotton wipe.

Note: When deleting a large area, all of the unwanted image may not be removed and a second application may be needed.

5. Redevelop the deleted area or the entire plate by hand or processor using Viking™ developer.

6. Rinse the plate and regum using Viking™gum, Viking™gum with gum arabic or Viking™storage gum.

Storage

Store at room temperature. Keep container in a well-ventilated area.
